Connect Tutoring is no longer in business
In our individual tutoring sessions students work one on one with our tutor. We begin with developing a rapport with the student. We then establish where their strengths are and which areas they need some support in. An individualized plan is created to cater for their needs. We adapt to the student's preferred style of learning and pace.
At Connect Tutoring we believe that confidence is crucial for students to learn to their fullest. We aim for all students to look forward to their sessions, and leave their session feeling confident and capable. We end our sessions with an enjoyable game as to finish on.
Parents receive a weekly "Session Summary" at the end of each session, which outlines what was achieved and what the student's future goals are.
$80 per session. Sessions run for 55 minutes. Our learning space in Frankston.
*Personalised learning goals and a individual lesson sequence for your child.
* A weekly "Session Summary" outlining what your child has achieved in their sessions, as well as establishing a clear direction for the following week.
*Take home tasks are given to students each week. These compliment the activities undertaken by the student in their session. These are optional.

Our Mission
Our mission at Connect Tutoring is to equip all of our students with the confidence they need to gain their top possible results.
While academic results are important to us, we focus on building and maintaining a student's confidence first and foremost. Academics come second. Self confidence in their own abilities is vital for academic success. We aim to empower our students to be able to see their 'mistakes' as a part of the learning process, rather than evidence of failure.
Student's current level of understanding and skills are assessed in the first few trial session, and a learning plan is then tailored to meet the needs of the child. Sometimes this means we will be working 'above grade level' while at other times we may be working at a 'working toward grade level.'
We can fill in any "Covid gaps" they may have, and do so in a fun and engaging way.

I'm Samantha, and I am the tutor at Connect Tutoring.
The experience I offer includes 23 years of teaching in a classroom setting, and I have home schooled my own children for the last seven years. I am happy to offer home schooling support to new clients.
I have spent a lot of time working with children with diverse needs, including working with gifted and bright children. My aim is to help children to feel comfortable and confident within themselves. This is integral to their success.
In my free time I like to paint and spend time on the beach with my children.
Where are you located?
We are conveniently located in Frankston near the Skye Road exit on Peninsula Link.
Can you come to our house to run the sessions?
Unfortunately this is not a service we provide at the moment.
Do you offer a trial session?
We encourage students to attend two weeks of sessions to see if they are a 'good fit' with the tutor. After this two week period they can decide whether they continue with Connect Tutoring. These sessions are charged at the normal rate of $75 per session.
What experience do you have working with children with diverse needs?
Our head tutor Samantha has spent the last 23 years working with students with many different and unique learning and social needs. These include dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ASD, auditory and language processing disorders, ADD and ADHD. She also has extensive experience working with gifted children in all areas of the curriculum.
Which curriculum do you follow?
While our primary focus is on working from the level each child is currently are at, we follow the Victorian Curriculum.
Which year levels do you teach?
We cater for students from Prep to Year 8.
Which subject areas do you teach?
Connect Tutoring currently offers sessions in Literacy and Numeracy.
What are your qualifications?
My formal qualifications include:
*Bachelor of Business (International Marketing)
*Bachelor of Science (Environmental Management)
*Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary)
I have undertaken extensive training to become a Primary Maths Specialist in the Dandenong Ranges Network.
Do you have a Working with Children Check (WWCC)?
I am a registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). This registration includes a Working with Children's Check.
